Fabulous Friday: Suzanne Charny

Last week I sent out the big dance sequence from the movie of Sweet Charity. The lead female dancer was Suzanne Charny. She was damn impressive, and not just in how she flipped her wig around - - she had fabulous control over her instrument and the SNEER. I loved her sneer.

I looked her up on YouTube and found this clip of her performing for the troops on a USO tour in 1972. The effect isn't as strong as it was in the movie but then:

1. It appears she's using her own hair.

2. She's performing live.

3. She's performing outdoors.

4. She's very covered up compared to her costume in the movie, she's wearing a variation on a mock turtleneck. I'm not saying her bazooms have to be out and about but maybe a sleeveless top? Or at least short sleeves...?
