Here's Howard:

The impact of performance is often heightened by the date on the ticket. For example, I once saw Diamanda Galás on Easter Sunday. Billy Bragg on Labor Day. The Orb on New Year’s Eve. Except for Diamanda maybe, no other show lined up with the stars like seeing The Cramps on Halloween. Crazy fun.

Sacramento Psychobilly legends, The Cramps were formed by wife and husband, Lux Interior and Poison Ivy. They were raw and erotic, retro and porno, all mashed together in a sleazy way Elvis only dreamed of. Lead singer, Lux’s had a loud, overt sexuality, shirtless with leather pants worn lower than thought possible, inserting the mic inside his mouth as much as singing into it. In contrast, Poison’s sultry, standing still rockabilly guitar and sideways looks commanded attention by doing less. The wild outfits and huge red hair, playing guitar like that - Billy Zoom meets Natasha Lyonne.

Legend. Happy to see her make this list.
