Fabulous Friday: "Boys"

I'm a total amateur when it comes to The Beatles. I know maybe only about half of their songs...? And this is a dangerous thing to say when so many of my friends are highfalutin intellectual types but I greatly prefer the early Beatles to the later Beatles. Am I being banished from the Cool Kids Table?
I had the song "Boys" stuck in my head for a while. It doesn't get much earlier than this, it's from their first album, Please Please Me. I listened to the whole album last night when I was doing dishes and had to take a dance break for "Boys."
The thing that makes this song absolute genius is the bass line in the chorus, starting at about 0:47 in the recording above. Actually, all of the components - - the bass line, the guitars, the lead vocals, the backup vocals, and the drums - - they're all working together in a way destined to drive me CRAZY MAN CRAZY!
One more note about the album Please Please Me - - I will always skip "Love Me Do." I HATE that song. It's repetitive and dumb, it offends me.
I found this live performance of "Boys" and shocker - - RINGO is singing lead vocals!
