We're at 1986 - - this is a turning point because this is the first time I saw both of the movies in the theater, and paid with my own money!

The winner for Best Art Direction was *A Room with a View,* an opulent 19th century costume drama. Another of the nominees was *Hannah and Her Sisters,* which mostly featured contemporary, cozy, cluttered Manhattan apartments.
