The Song of the Year for 1960 was "Theme of Exodus." Why do you suppose it was "of" and not "from"? I find that slightly puzzling. The music is grand and imposing, clearly the theme from, excuse me, of a VERY IMPORTANT MOTION PICTURE.

The Record of the Year was Percy Faith's "Theme from A Summer Place." Yes, FROM. That movie theme was my parents' song. The movie is a trashy little soap and the music makes you want to turn down the lights and make out. Watch your hands!
