Howard and Stephanie both alerted me to the death of English actor Terrence Stamp (age 87). He was a great talent with a long career. I think of four movies when I think of him, I'll list them in the order in which I saw them. The first movie I saw with him was Superman. Here he is chewing up the scenery (in his own understated way) as Zod in Superman II.
Next up, an early movie for him, Willy Wyler's The Collector. Super creepy, creepissimo.
L
et's not forget his heartwarming turn as Bernadette in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
And I went through a brief Pasolini phase a few years ago. His performance in Teorema is marvelously opaque.
