CDA: Malcolm Jamal-Warner

I was saddened to read about the death of Malcolm Jamal-Warner, who died on Sunday at the age of 54. I was never a fan of The Cosby Show but there was no escaping it in the 80s. He was good on that show, he was able to hit that elusive sitcom tone of being likeable and amusing without being phony baloney.


His NY Times obit was an interesting read - - he won a Grammy as a spoken-word poet and he recently created a podcast with Candace Kelley and Weusi Baraka called Not All Hood, exploring the various identities of Black people. Here he is being interviewed with Kelley about the podcast:
