And did you know that he was up for the role of Batman on the TV series? This set of clips does a compare/contrast between him and some twink named Peter Deyell vs the guys who got the parts, Adam West and Burt Ward. Waggoner and Deyell seem to play it (if you'll excuse the expression) too straight. West and Ward are absolutely earnest, but also just a trifle knowing.
