Diva/Mensch pair for Nov 15, 2023

My apologies that this is a day late! The Oscars for 1997 were dominated by Titanic but I'm bypassing that boat and focussing on a category in which Titanic was not nominated: Best Original Screenplay.


The winner was the mensch, Good Will Hunting, a deeply felt small-scale drama about a coupla guys in Boston. The standout diva of the nominees was Boogie Nights, a large-scale drama about people working in the porn industry in the 70s.
