*The Exorcist* and *Paper Moon* went head-to-head in three categories at the 1973 Oscars: Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound (*The Exorcist* won that), and Best Supporting Actress (Tatum O'Neal won for *Paper Moon*). Both movies are about a little girl who's a great deal of trouble.
