This was one of those awful cases of, "Jeez, she was still alive?" She was 103, dear old girl. CNN called her "the sweetheart of the British forces." To people of my generation and a bit older (and Kubrick congescenti of any age), she'll always be remembered as the singer of "We'll Meet Again," used to such hilarious and chilling effect in the final moments of *Dr. Strangelove, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.* One of the greatest uses of music in the history of the movies.
