CDA: Julee Cruise

My brother Howard alerted me to the death of Julee Cruise, who died the other day at the age of 65. She was a niche pop star, made famous by her association with David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti. Howard said this: "Saw her do a tiny benefit for the Jungle Theater in Mpls in the 90s. VERY Lynchian..."

Here's a video of her singing her signature song, "Falling," on a Swedish TV show in 1990. It seems that she's not so much a pop singer as a representation of a pop singer, or a commentary on a pop singer.
