My mother has been so helpful in being my primary alert for celebrity deaths lately, especially people like Hank Aaron, who would ordinarily fly under my radar. The title of the NY Times obit: "Hank Aaron, Home Run King Who Defied Racism, Dies at 86." My compatriots in Wisconsin might feel a special sadness because he spent so much of his career in Milwaukee.
