Olivier Messaien is one of my favorite composers. 12/10 was the 110th anniversary of his birth, so I'm shining the spotlight on my favorite piece of his, the cello/piano movement from his *Quartet For the End of Time.* The title of the movement is "Louange à l'Éternité de Jésus," or "Praise to the eternity of Jesus," but you don't have to believe in Jesus to be taken by the incomparable beauty of the music.
