It sounded like a fascinating premise - - a new play by Harvey Fierstein about a Catskills resort in the 60s that caters to married men who dress in women’s clothes.  Based on a true story, no less.  The issues discussed in the play were fascinating, and it gave great opportunities to a few of the actors.  The best in the cast were Larry Pine, John Cullum, Gabriel Ebert, Mare Winningham, and Tony nominee Reed Birney as the villainess.  But a lot of the dialogue sounded clunky, you could literally hear a “clunk” at the end of a line.  Surely I’m not the only person who heard that?
