Scott Rudin got one of his most recent Tonys for the revival of *The Boys in the Band.* For the record, the guy has won 18 Tonys, the longest list in a category for any of the EGOT winners. Anyway, that show was fantastic - - there was such a feeling of an Occasion in the theater. Maybe the play itself is a little creaky but seeing a Broadway production with that cast, eight out-and-proud actors, some of them fairly major, it was thrilling.
