CDA: Lear, O'Connor, O'Neal

Norman Lear died the other day at the age of 101. He was the producer of great 1970s sitcoms that pushed the envelope and drove the culture forward. A partial list:

All in the Family

Sanford and Son

One Day at a Time

The Jeffersons

Good Times

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor died last week at the age of 93. She was the first woman appointed to the Supreme Court, she was nominated by Ronald Reagan in 1981. She served until 2006. Here's a Charlie Rose interview from 2002:

And hot off the presses, my brother Howard told me just a couple days ago that Ryan O'Neal died at the age of 82. Howard had recently rewatched Barry Lyndon, which he said was a "perfect film." I prefer What's Up, Doc?
