I'm ending our *Follies* tribute with another pair of ladies doing the same song. The song is "Broadway Baby," sung in the show by Hattie. Here are Linda Lavin from the Kennedy Center production and Jayne Houdyshell from the same production a few months later on Broadway.

Linda Lavin's stock was very high at that particular moment - - she had done *Other Desert Cities* off Broadway from December 2010 to February 2011, then went to DC to do *Follies* from May 2011 to June 2011. Both shows moved to Broadway, and the producers for both shows wanted her to reprise her role, but she was already booked to do a new play, *The Lyons,* on Broadway at the same time. So they got Judith Light do to *Other Desert Cities* (for which she won the Tony, bless her heart) and Houdyshell to do *Follies.*
