Another case of you might not know the name, but you probably know the music. Dick Dale was known as King of the Surf Guitar. I never heard of him until *Pulp Fiction* - - his recording of "Misirlou" played during the opening credits of that movie and perfectly set the tone of amped up cheesy mayhem:

My favorite recording of his is a rocking rendition of "Hava Nagila." Here he is doing it live in 1995.
