Fabulous Friday: "Stormy Weather"

My dear friend Bill Lutes turned me onto this incredible book, "Stardust Melodies: A Biography of Twelve of America's Most Popular Songs* by Will Friedwald. One of the twelve songs is "Stormy Weather," and Friedwald discussed this dreamy performance by Elisabeth Welch, from Derek Jarman's *The Tempest* (which I guess I need to see). I'd never heard of her. She's the limit!
